April Meeting

We will be discussing the next chapter in our book "Five Star Families". Please pick up a copy of the book in the church office if you have not already done so. We will also be making a great craft that is an awesome fun and learning tool for our kids. Naomi will play with this for an hour at a time, and I can't wait for you to make your own! Please bring a child sized (or regular sized) glove (I have some extras if you don't have one) and an adult size if you'd like.

Check your mail for this handy little magnet that we'll be sending you next week. We hope to keep your more informed of what's going on so you can plan well in advance to attend our meetings and playdates. Please, as always, feel free to invite other Mother's of Preschoolers to join us as well!

March Meeting

Come to our monthly meeting on Monday, March 9th at 6:30 pm for a discussion of chapters 5, 6 and maybe 7 of Five star families. Even if you can't make it to the meetings you can pick up a copy of the book in the church office. The books are $10 and the scrapbooks are $5. It's a really good book so I would suggest grabbing a copy, even if you can't come to the meetings regularly, or at all. We will also be making a really unique "stitched" greeting card that you can send to a long lost friend just to say I care. If you have a small cork board please bring that along. We hope to see you there and if you'd be willing to bring a snack or drink please let us know! Thanks!

Parish Hall!

We will be discussing chapters 5, 6, and 7 in Five Star Families. Make sure to bring your book and scrapbook. We'll also be doing a super cute valentine's day craft that will look something like this. You don't want to miss it.

Please bring $1 to the meeting and a container that will safely hold 6 eggs. We'll be using egg cartons but not the eggs. So, you'll be able to leave with a great Valentine's Day gift and 6 eggs to take home and cook or bake with. Call or email if you have any questions!

We had a great time at our meeting on Monday making some stockings for the shut-ins of our church. It's always nice to be able to help other out and brighten their days a little. Thanks ladies for helping decorate these stockings...I know they will be appreciated.

Thanks for coming to our meeting Kari and for telling us many different ways to preserve our memories! Ladies, you can check out Kari's website here...and don't forget about her open house on Saturday, November 22 from 10am-2pm at Crown of Life Lutheran Church.

Everything at our meeting tonight was yummy! Thanks so much ladies for making those treats for us to enjoy and to try something new! I will be posting the recipes for everyone...but not tonight. Thanks again!

November Meeting

Recipe Exchange!!!!

I hope you're having a great November so far!! Our monthly meeting will be this coming Monday the 10th at 6:30 in the Parish Hall. We're hoping the books for our next book study will arrive in time. If not...well...we can give a little intro to the book. Our other activity will be a holiday recipe exchange..and a craft that goes with the eating theme. I figure we will all be busy cooking in the next couple of months and we could all use some good new recipes!! So, bring about 8 copies of your favorite recipe (on recipe cards if you're able to...if not don't worry about it). If you're feeling VERY industrious...you could bring your favorite recipe for all of us to taste. Just a thought!!

October Meeting

Hey ladies, just wanted to remind you about our October meeting. We'll be meeting at our normal time 6:30pm on Monday, October 13th in the Parish Hall at Mount Calvary.

Please join us in making "Quiet Church bags" for the kiddos to use during church. We'll be decorating the canvas bags to put the quiet items in. Please let me know what you'd like to see in the quiet bags in the comment section! Can't wait to see you at the meeting!

September 8th

Our next MOPS@ meeting is on Monday, September 8th at 6:30pm in the Parish Hall at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in San Antonio, Texas. We are very excited about this meeting because we'll be having our first speaker! Diana from Discovery Toys is going to come and talk to us about Learning Styles and Toys that can help! We are so excited to have Diana come and share her insight with us. Along with the Discovery Toys talk we are going to have a Toy/Book swap.

Toy/Book Swap Rules!
Please bring along no more than 10 books and no more than 10 toys that are unloved, but still useable and won't be missed in your house. We will have a swap of these toys and those toys and books that are not picked by other moms for their kids to enjoy will be donated! What a great time to clean out your childs closet and share with others!

Anyone willing to bring snacks and drinks please let Jamie know! We will have a sign up sheet at the meeting for those willing to bring snacks and drinks to the next few meetings!
